Director of Health Services
Megan has worked in different capacities in the healthcare industry for just under a decade. She joined the Stellar team and the senior living industry in March 2016. Megan first began in community relations at a small hospital in Washington in 2007. In that capacity she realized her love for assisting patients, especially seniors and began pursuing a degree in nursing. While in school, Megan taught physicians how to use computer software in the hospital setting. She then spent three years as a critical care bedside nurse in Arizona. Megan’s goal is to create ways to help our seniors live active, full, healthy lifestyles to keep those hospital beds empty. She has a Bachelor’s in Communication from BYU–Idaho and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Roseman University of Health Sciences.
Jennifer graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Management. With any project she is assigned, she quickly proves herself to be an invaluable member of the team. Aside from the daunting task of keeping the home office organized and running smoothly, she also manages all of our social media content, provides administrative support to our executive team, and serves as a key member of the committee focused on improving our memory care programming.
Brad graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English. He is currently attending the University of Utah to obtain a second degree in Business Administration and is on track to graduate Cum Laude in 2015. Brad handles all of the Accounts Payable, but is also the Jack of all trades around the office. From conducting quality surveys to writing the ‘Above and Beyond’ reports which highlight our employees’ achievements, Brad takes on the projects which would otherwise fall through the cracks.
Tyler graduated in accounting from the University of Utah, where he was an active member of the National Accounting and Finance Club, Beta Alpha Psi. Before joining Stellar, he worked for four years at First Utah Bank, helping customers and business owners with their banking needs. After gaining experience and skills with us, he plans to go back to school for his MBA. Tyler is a great team player, with a creative side that helps him think outside of the box to solve problems in the normally rigid world of accounting.
Director of Project Management
Lothar came to Stellar with more than a decade of experience in project management and project estimating in the residential, commercial and civil construction fields. Building strong partnerships and managing complex processes are just two of his many strengths that benefit Stellar Senior Living as a whole. Lothar has a passion for building and finds great satisfaction in delivering a high quality product using his project management skills. Originally from Quito, Ecuador Lothar has made Utah his home for the past 16 years. He received a B.S. Degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University, and holds a plethora of other certifications related to the project management and construction fields.
Lance began his career in accounting and finance in 2008 after making the Dean’s list at LDS Business College. He has held various accounting positions while furthering his education, and graduated from the Marriott School of Management at BYU with a degree in Finance. Lance was first employed with Stellar as an intern while finishing school, after which he came on full time as a finance project specialist. He was quickly promoted to Controller and has contributed greatly to improving the operations of our company.
VP of Human Resources
Maryann has served as a Human Resources Executive in acute care, long term care and senior living companies for more than 30 years. From 2000 to 2010 Maryann served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Five Star Quality Care. Maryann served as the chairperson for the ALFA’s HR Executive Roundtable in 2009 and 2010 and previously presented at two ALFA conferences on HR topics. Maryann has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources.
Senior VP & CFO
Prior to joining Stellar, Ray spent over 10 years in various corporate finance roles in the telecommunications and medical devices industries. Most recently, he functioned as a regional controller and senior manager of U.S. commercial operations for a division of Medtronic, a global medical device manufacturer. Ray has a B.S. in engineering from Brigham Young University, as well as an M.B.A. from the Marriott School of Management at BYU.
Senior Vice President
In 2012 Adam helped launch Stellar Senior Living with the acquisition of four assisted living communities in the Western United States. Previously, Adam worked on Wall Street in various financial services and investment management roles. Starting in 2006 Adam was a portfolio manager at Clearwater Advisors which managed $5 billion in institutional fixed income accounts. In 2008, Adam established the New York office for Clearwater where he spearheaded sales on the East Coast and Europe. In 2010 Adam also co-founded Redfish Capital, a high frequency propriety trading firm. Adam holds a B.S. in Finance from
Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
Senior Vice President
Aaron joined the MONY Group (later merged with AXA Equitable) in 1999 as an associate. He subsequently founded Redfish Insurance Group LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah which provides supplemental benefits to large institutional clients. Since 2000 Aaron has built several companies that have been involved in health and fitness, asset management, real estate holdings, and corporate benefit providers. Aaron holds a B.A. from Brigham Young University.
President & CEO
Evrett started his career in senior housing after practicing corporate law as an attorney and Managing Partner of the Los Angeles Office for 17 years at Houston based Andrews & Kurth.
In 1992, Evrett served as the Executive Vice-President and General Council for GranCare, Inc. an NYSE Senior Healthcare company with 30,000+ employees and national operations.
In 1999, Evrett was a founder and first CEO of Five Star Quality Care (NYSE: FVE) with 20,000+ employees and over 200 senior living and healthcare communities across the U.S.
2007 Evrett was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Healthcare for the New England Region.
Since 2005 Evrett has served on the Board of Directors and in 2007 & 2008 as Chairman of the Board of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA), a national industry association for senior living companies. Evrett holds a B.A. in Economics from Brigham Young University and a J.D. from the University of Houston.
